I have 4 "dads" i want to walk me down the aisle?

Reasonable pay for stable hand?

Does getting 70s on regents seem bad for colleges?

I just received my report card. I took the chemistry, geometry and global regents. I wanted to achieve a 85 or higher on all the regents but i was unsuccessful. I got a 77 on geometry and 79 on chemistry. I'm really happy of the 97 i got for global tho. I just wanted to know if getting 70s on these regents seem really bad? I am generally a smart student who works hard and this seems like a real bummer for me and I'm concerned of whether this will affect me later.

Do you think the "Ethnic Foods" sign in the grocery stores in the south are racist?

I noticed that when I was in New York the sign said "International Foods" for the appropriate aisle. I also noticed this at a grocery store in Los Angeles, CA. It seems that the south is the only part of our country that still uses a sign saying "Ethnic Foods" and I personally think it is racist. How do you deal with a female co-worker you cant stand?

I am 27 and I work with a 43 yr old woman I cant stand! She is always kissing up to mgmt, acting phony/fake, always chit-chatting with other co-workers/customers whenever she can, barely helps with shared responsibilities, uses the company phone for personal calls daily, dresses & acts skanky to get male attention (we work in the p&h trade), always tries to "one-up" me, and not to mention tries to get the attention of a certain man that she knows that I like and I am seeing... and unfortunately my desk is diagonally across the aisle from hers! Would a Holocaust survivor be an appropriate guest in an 8th grade history class?

I am an 8th grade history teacher at a school in Memphis TN, and I am currently teaching my students about World War II and the Holocaust. I remember when I was in school, my teacher invited a holocaust survivor in to speak to us and answer our questions. I thought it was pretty interesting. My grandfather was in Auschwitz for several years until 1945 when he managed to escape. I’m just concerned that my students might be too young for someone like that. Do you think so? I’m sure he’d have many good stories to tell because he conducted a lot of experiments there and was actually a close friend of Dr. Josef Mengele.

I need a girls advice?

there's this girl that I have always found amazingly attractive but the thing is that I really never gotten the chance to speak with her and now is the only time I get to see her because we're rehearsing for our graduation ceremony. I am scared to tell my parents my Regents grade?

so at the end of the school year, we took finals and stuff. and for math and science there are regents (for the classes i take). i told my mom about the regular final results i got. (which were like 97 & 98). on my earth science regents i got a 96. on my algebra 1 regents i got 89!! i was soooo disappointed! i studied soooo much for it! math is my worst subject. but being asian, i'm expected to have it as my best subject! and i'm freaking scared to tell my parents, so kinda sorta lied saying that the regents scores are gonna come in august. but i knew my scores already cuz the teachers had them (they have to put the regents grade into our averages). so if i bring up now that i actually do know the grades for my regents, wouldn't they yell at me? since i said idk the grades for them yet... cuz i'm willing to retake my algebra 1 regents in august, but for that i need to tell them! Do you think this guy was into me at all?

Why am I obsessed with morbidity?

Ever since I was about 13 I've been obsessed with Adolf Hitler, I'm 15 now and still am. For an advanced student, yes, this looks like a proper answer. Your entire senior year wouldn't even be in my schedule, so technically, you are taking above and beyond classes. For example, I took Alg 2 Junior year, and will be finishing it senior year. I stretched out my classes, because emotionally and mentally I had a hard freshman and sophomore year, but now I'm much better. I took Psychology this past year (my junior year) and it was amazing. By the way, our school does schedules every year, because of failing classes and things, so students HAVE to be able to edit their schedules to graduate.

I'm currently disabled, but, looking at me, you wouldn't know it. My boyfriend got in my face about 'where my money is coming from since my work hours vary. Tilted bus makes me dizzy, not moving!?

On my school sport days, I have to go on a bus to play against another school. The area my school is in has loads of tilted roads, as in, ones that slant down, and also ones that tilt sideways e.g. the edges of the road are slanting downwards. Every time I enter the bus, as soon as I step into the bus, I get dizzy and disorientated. As soon as i walk down the bus aisle everything goes weird when I see it's tilted. I don't really have motion sickness in boats or cars, unless I try to read. When I enter a bus tilted sideways, I actually get a headache and feel nauseated. Should I take the honors class for math or just the regular one?

The head of department gave me a choice between the regular math class or the honors math class (geometry and I've already learned a bit of that in my old school). The problem is that honors math looks better for college and helps prepare students for college level work but I don't want to push myself too hard in my first year of boarding school (since I'll need to adjust to living without my parents, living on campus and being in a different school). I would also get better grades if I take regular classes... What should I do? I've been to over 25 weddings and I can't think of one that had no music. I think at the very least you should have a processional and recessional. I had an outdoor wedding too and I just called the music dept of the local college and hired 2 strings to play 2 hours, my ceremony & cocktail hour. I think your characters are great. Physically, the detail is excellent. You should probably explain how they met. I remember seeing a play (it was either a true story or based on a true story) in which a Jewish girl was best friends with a Protestant girl during the Holocaust. The Protestant did a Nazi Youth program and they stopped being friends. By the end of the play, she had quit the program and they were best friends again. It was a sad story, but at least that bit worked out. So you might want to explain how their friendship began, and how it developed into something more. Perhaps Anke's mother was fine with them being friends, but her father was worried that it would develop into more. When it did, both parents were upset - her father was angry and her mother was disappointed. Johannes, on the other hand, could have kept the friendship a secret from his parents. When they found out, Elisabeth was cold and Josef beat him. But these are your characters - feel free to go with my idea, or make something else up. I highly suggest reading the book Writing Magic, by Gail Carson Levine. If you want, just skip to the character questionnaire. It can be very useful for character development. Anyway, you have excellent characters, and it sounds like you've got a great story. Good luck!

i bought this from a checkout aisle in runnings farm and fleet, it was a good deal at 5.29 with tax. ive owned it for about a day, and it has been great, but i tried to turn the small valve at the bottom to increse/decrease the flame size, because I wanted to see how small/big the flame got, well i turned it out a bit too much cuz i heard hissing of the butane coming out, so i immediatly turned it back to normal, well the butane was all gone, but I fortunately bought some zippo brand butane fuel earlier, so i purged, or let all the gas out of the lighter, and then refilled it. So, I figured "no problem cool i wont mess with that anymore" then tried to light it and i could hear the gas coming out(like it should) when i pressed the button down, and also saw the spark when i pressed the button all the way down (like it should) then, guess what, NO FLAME ! and i have tried many many times to light it and messed with the flame adjustor, and everything i have tried has failes, actually i tried once and the thing caught on fire, like the whole thing, but it wasnt jet flame just a regular flame like from a bic lighter, but it was BIG, and its a good thing I could blow it out before it burned my hand, but that oinly happened twice and hasnt happened again, so can any1 help me with this????? and just please tell me how to fix it, becuase were i bought the lighter is 80 miles away from my home, and next time we go there i will trade it for another one, but im not going back for a while, and we are going camping 2morrow, and i would really like to have a torch lighter to start campfires and such, also here is a video of the lighter a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8hUCcKooes&feature=channel_video_title" rel="nofollow"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8hUCcKoo…/a thank you for all of your answers in advance

Have you ever had a dream where you were in total control and aware of what was happening?

I have to write this down before I forget. Last night I dreamed three seperate dreams and actually told myself to wake up or leave the place in each dream. The first one I was floating in some type of office with glass walls and I kept slamming into the glass and the people who were in the offices were beginning to stare at me and looked pretty annoyed with me and I told myself I think it's time I leave here and floated awau I woke up in bed in the early morning. I went back to sleep and found myself at this party outdoors at night outside of this large house where candles were lit in trees and people were sitting, some talking, some listening to this woman sing on this dimly lit small stage. I stayed for a little while wallking around then got bored and told myself it was time to leave and I floated up again and even looked down at the scene while doing so and woke up and it was 430am exactly. I rolled over went back to sleep and then found myself in some type of library with a middle-aged black woman sitting at a desk asking me if I needed some help. I told her no, I don't belong here and it was time for me to wake back up--this is the really weird part. I concentrated in the dream on waking up and ended up instead in an aisle of books. I remember saying "damn, let me do this again..." then said "it's time to wake up...wake up!" and I did and it was 6:11am on this Sunday morning. So, my question really is what does it mean when you are this much in control and aware in a dream? It just seemed so real to me. Dad likes my brother more than me? PLEASE HELP!?

Ok so recently my dad has been treating me like total crap. He refuses to answer my text messages and phone calls. Why are grocery store stock jobs so demanding?

Im from PA and i work at a grocery store called redner's. Well ive worked there for almost 4 years now and they start you at 8 dollars for 3rd shift which i work on and you only get a 25 cent raise once a year. My problem is they give us 1200 piece truck loads every night split between 5 workers and your obligated to bust your *** every night to put all pieces to the shelf and face and front all your aisles and then fill all the sale items. Your SAT score indicates that you are just finishing the work, but not really understanding or thinking about your work. Let's be real. Getting into colleges like Berkeley is EXTREMELY competitive. You need to re-take the SAT or ACT and study for it. Work on your essays for entrance. When you get out of college you will be competing for jobs, so you had better get used to it.

Okay Hun, listen, SATs are for getting into college. As for as how long, that really depends on the test. My Phsychology test lasted 4 hours. And I got a good grade. My advice for studying is to NOT STUDY IN A COMFERTABLE place, if you do, you wil most likely fall asleep. Make sure you are eating well, and getting proper nutrition. Your body isn't going to be able to take in any of your information you are studying if you are tired and hungry. About getting a perfect score, good luck! It isn't easy to get a perfect score. Even I didn't get a perfect score. Nerves were killing me ad it was hard to concentrate, but I did pretty well, you need to make sure you are ready for the test. Best of luck

How many photographers should be at a wedding?

That's overkill, only celebrities have more than one photog cover their wedding. Most photogs work alone or they bring one assistant, and there's rarely a worry about them missing an important moment. My photog worked alone and he captured our entire ceremony, the groom getting ready beforehand, then formal wedding party photos after the vows, the cocktail hour, dinner, reception, spotlight dances, dessert, etc. He was with us for 6 hours which was more than enough because when he left at 9:30, the only thing that happened after that was guests dancing.

Is anyone else mad about e-readers?

I mean, is there any one else who just loves the feel and smell of a book? I get that e-readers are supposed to be more portable, and they let you buy books faster and it's lighter to carry around but I think it's still all a load of crap. First of all if you're traveling or flying you'll probably only need 1-3 books anyway so it's not like you're gonna die if you have to carry a few books around. Also, yeah you can buy your books faster but part of the joy of reading is actually physically walking into a book store or library and browsing through aisles of books surrounded by fellow readers and the whole experience is just exciting and relaxing at the same time. Plus kindles and nooks are expensive and on top of that you still have to buy the books when you could just go to the library and check out a book for FREE! It makes no sense to me. You don't need to charge a book, you don't have to worry about cracking a screen and you can read it *drum roll* in the sun! Kindles like to use the slogan, " the book lives on" but really they're just killing the book. I like technology but books are something that should be left alone. I mean i understand ipods and stuff even because they allow you to buy single songs instead of whole cd's but you can buy just a single book so there's no purpose to the kindle. It's just not the same as a book! Ok I could seriously rant about this forever but I'll shut up now and see what you guys have to say.

High School All Honors Homework Hours?

I am in love with a man who is 34 years old. I am 27 years old, and I think about this man all the time. Me and him attend the same church. One day, I was online, and I sent him a message. Would it be worth it to take a math class again next summer?

Ok, so right now I am an incoming freshman taking Geometry over the summer so that I can be in Alg. 2 in the Fall. The math classes at my school are only Algebra 1, Geo, Alg. 2, Math Ana., Calc AB, Calc BC, and Stats. I would take up to Calc BC (AB is a prereq for it). So, basically I was wondering if it would be worth it to take Math Analysis next summer to be able to take AP Stats. Would it make a big enough difference? It's a 1000 bucks and yeah, I'd rather be elsewhere, but I'd do it only if it makes a difference. ( If I don't do math, I'd start doing SAT prep stuff over summer.) Also, I am planning on taking 10-11 AP classes total already (not including Stats). And I am pretty sure I can't double up because we only have 6 periods, AP classes are limited so it is hard to fit them all in a schedule(my schedules look tight so I couldnt take 2 math classes in a year), and AP science classes take 2 period each day and I plan to take all of them.
