Walking down the "aisle" (garden path) music?

I've been to over 25 weddings and I can't think of one that had no music. I think at the very least you should have a processional and recessional. I had an outdoor wedding too and I just called the music dept of the local college and hired 2 strings to play 2 hours, my ceremony & cocktail hour. They helped me choose a processional and I had some classical pieces in mind for the recessional, then they played other selections they knew for the rest of the time. I think our guests were pretty impressed that I hired musicians ;)
