WHY ARE THERE SO MANY CRIMES AGAINST WOMEN?

I happened to read about Josef Fritzl and saw how much a man could stoop so low. I really feel so bad about how we treat women. How we see them? How many wolves eyes stare at them? How they feel bad about being treated so low? Girls/ Women/ Mothers/ Sisters as a MAN I sorry for everything we have done wrong to you and please let us know what is it that most worries you when you are feeling not so safe. Please answer me sincerely and let us know the things we AS MEN SHOULD CHANGE so that you are treated equally and more respectfully.
