If you scored low on a regents exam but, retook it with a higher score would it still look as good on resume?

I have low scores on both the geometry and earth science regents but, I didn't fail. If I retook it with a much higher score nearly full score. Would it still look as good as if I passed the regents in the first place? I know only public colleges look at regents scores. Would this still look good to them?
